My name is Jennifer and I live in the greater Portland area of Maine. I am a stay-at-home mother of, 4 year old Elijah Kai (we call him Kai, rhymes with my, Isaiah (2 years old) and my 1 month old daughter, Zoe. I am wife to Elijah the love of my life and best friend. I am also a daughter, sister and loyal friend. Before becoming a mother, I was a creative arts therapist, a special education teacher and a music and movement teacher; although I still consider myself a therapist and educator even though I’m currently not paid for it. : ) Some of my passions include spending time with my family, dance, reading, arts and crafting, yoga, gardening, and food.
I am a woman trying to live an authentic and inspired life. I started this blog with the intention of keeping myself motivated and hopefully inspiring a few others along the way. My intention is to share my creative endeavors and all of the things that inspire me to be and do better. Please be aware that this blog is just a small piece of my life in which I try to focus on the positive. I also experience the same challenges, disappointments and troubles as you but this is not the place where I choose to express those aspects of my life. My hope is to connect to an online community of positive people who are willing to share their thoughts and experiences. My name is Lee and I feel like I know you although you don’t know me. I went to Bowdoin with Elijah and Fang. I learned about your blog from a status Fang posted and I have been reading it ever since. I really enjoy reading your blogs. Although I have one child who is almost 12, I can relate to a lot of what you write. I think you are a terrific mom and I love the way you come across as so honest and real. I have wanted to write a blog for a long time but I don’t know if I am ready to take that risk or rather if I have what it takes. I remember you had a blog about taking risks.
